Help Send our Team to State & National Tournaments

18 times state champions, Paul Robeson Chess Club (aka TeamGENIUS) seeks to compete in the State and NATIONAL championships.

TeamGENIUS is a global learning community, steeped in nurturing genius, character and empathy. We have sponsored and/or mentored more than fifteen school and club chess teams in Philadelphia. As for competitions, we are currently three-time defending state champions, and our students have won more than 30 awards at previous National Championships.

Our current goal is to take 8 students to the NATIONAL championship in Washington, DC In APRIL, 2024.

We are looking to raise $5,000 to fund the tournament.


$120 pays 1 student entry fees

$20 1 meal

$250 1 night hotel room

We welcome donations of any amount. Any unused funds will go towards future tournaments. Your contribution will help us to continue providing unique and impactful opportunities to our students in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
